I can't speak for your situation, though I have taken all three of the meds you mentioned (though not together), but yes. I had about 4 years of no side effects on Geodon before akathisia kicked in...bad. I had various side effects on Lithium that kicked in at different times. A couple eased, the rest didn't. Etc, etc. But I will say that with dosage adjustments some side effects eased or developed. Issuing a fatwa on a medication prematurely or without fiddling by your psychiatrist can sometimes be a pity and a loss.
Yes, moods affect our sleep and energy levels. Yes, sometimes increased doses of medications do. Which is the culprit? Sometimes one, sometimes both, sometimes neither. There are other things sometimes that cause certain changes in the way we feel. What the answer(s) is/are need to be determined. Heck, it could be the weather, stress levels, low vitamin D, low thyroid levels, hormones, a cold coming on, iron deficiency, the the time of year, the fullness of the moon or other environmental factors, or something else.
I've been on a few meds in my time that are sedating. My Seroquel XR is a bit sedating. The ways it took to get relief from them have varied. Strategies were eventually figured out, or in a couple cases particular meds were eliminated/substituted.
