Its about 3.10 here for regular, unfortunatly my Acura is a premium-only car so I am paying 3.29. The gas issue is complex and has many causes, demand in China and India have risen dramatically in the last 3 years, Amercians are still driving cars that are bloated, overweight, overpowered and ill-suited in many cases to actual need, environmentalists have cut off refinery construction and so on. Recessions are unavoidable so the best thing people can do is to cut expenses, pay down debt and wait it out.

Of course replacing the current, idiotic income, FICA and payroll, Capital gains taxes with a national sales tax would lead to a tremendous economic boom and would be far better in the long run for the American people, if you are interested in learning more details, locate Fair Tax on google.
