Let's face it with increased world demand, and a finite oil supply (many experts have said we've now passed peak capacity) oil and gas prices are only going to go higher. North America is going to seriously have to adjust it's car habits to be much smaller, more in line with European models where gas prices have always been higher, develop alternate fuel sources and put more money into public transit. I have a high fuel efficiency car, but I'm noticing the price increases too - my next car which hopefully won't be for many years, will definitely be a hybrid.
