Hello folks,
someone a while ago posted about morning depression. Sorry, I can't remember who that was. Does anyone else feel like a human zombie in the mornings...even after getting out of bed...really, really heavy and slow....pushing so hard just to get the shower done and clothes on etc Sometimes my body feels like lead. It wears off slowly as the day progresses.
Then on the other side, basically as soon as the sun goes down...I feel a sense of dread...even if everything is going fine. I feel it in my stomach...look outside at the darkness and then the anxious thoughts start because my mind? or body? thinks something terrible is about to happen. Even though it's not.
Best I can do is be mindful about these patterns and work very hard to push through.
Does this sound like any of you? If so, how do you deal with it? Any tricks you've learned to get yourself to move faster in the morning? Or to prevent or lessen the "dread" when the sun goes down? I should mention that I am in good physical health. I had all of that checked just in case. For a while I was convinced that a different diet could help me not to be a morning zombie but after hours and hours of research I gave up on that idea.
I don't take anti-depressants (never worked for me) and I'm not a huge fan of pharmaceuticals in general (though each to their own). Any holistic ideas...or herbal options that helped you...would be great. Thanks.
