Depo was the first hormonal method I used. I was 16 I think. Used it for several years until about age 22 when I switched to the pill. My periods stopped completely with Depo and until right before I switched I had no major problems with it. All of a sudden my period came back unexpectedly and very heavy, so I made the switch to the pill. I'm fixed permanently now so I don't have to deal with either.
