I think Newtus the things you associate with marriage are not the things that married people and especially divorced people associate with marriage and having been through it they are trying to warn you that the reality does not typically match the fantasy.


I think the fact that you’re considering a unity ceremony without an actual marriage at first should placate them. Worry about marriage once you no longer need to rely on parents or ssdi for money. It will happen.
