Based on my past experience I would look for someone who specializes in DID. These are usually trauma specialists. You don't have to see a psychologist for a diagnosis. Master's level therapists can diagnose you if they as well. My LPCC trauma T diagnosed me. Unfortunately I know I have DID but my pdoc has me diagnosed as MDD Severe with psychotic syptoms because she does not believe in DID.

Or, if you really want to not be diagnosed with DID pick someone like my pdoc who doesn't believe in it.

I know it is a hard diagnosis to think about and obviously I don't know if you have it or not. I do know that getting a proper diagnosis and treatment from a qualified T can make a huge difference in the quality of your future.
