Trump once said years ago that if he had to choose a party himself that he would have to choose the republican party as he felt that party was stupid. That's his words not mine, but sure enough he ended up running as a republican. Keep in mind that it was his idea of stupid too. He probably realized that many people like to be dependent and it was easy to convince people to feel entitled. He is looking at the top and where he had the best chance to win power. I am not even sure he expected to even win the nomination let alone the presidency tbh. When I heard that he was running for president I simply knew it myself. its just a promotion and a way to get supply from the audience. I mean he trolled everyone he could troll lol. I doubt he wanted to get elected. Just make some noise and troll the world.
