I was struggling physically and I was getting frustrated. I walked over to a couple coworkers who I get along with who was doing some smaller easier tasks. I asked one of them if she could help me with one of the boxes since it was so heavy. I told her I was getting frustrated because the boxes were so heavy. She came over to help me and asked the manager if someone would be helping me. The manager then started talking to her in Spanish. They have done this before but not when it involved me. The coworker did not say anything to this manager after he started talking to her in Spanish. She just helped me and left. I just found it so incredibly rude to speak another language in front of someone especially the way the manager did it. Finally half an hour later the coworker did come over to help.
I left today upset and I think my coworkers noticed. This manager is the lowest ranking manager at the store. So he’s not exactly professional like the other
managers. I don’t want to get him in trouble or anything. I just didn’t like his behavior today. We are constantly being reminded about team lift and not to lift anything that’s too heavy yet he didn’t really seem to pay attention to that. I felt like crap so maybe I just took things too personally.
Does anyone have any comments or suggestions?

I would speak to someone above him about the lifting. Workman's comp is something most employers do not want to have to deal with.
