Ozzie, here are a few items I found when I Googled. I have also had post op depression and some of it I believed was related to my schedule being disrupted, a side effect of pain meds, and fears and worries being stirred up.

I didn't read all these articles but I think at least one says it is typically short-lived and I believe that is true. I hope knowing that is some comfort.
