From what I have been searching there are two traits common between a bpd and aspd and they are impulsive behaviours and on another side, the lack of true empathy. But, this lack of true empathy comes from different roots.

Said that, from what I know from psychiatrists, traits of other disorders could occur in bpd, like narc’s traits are very common in AsPD personalities.

From my personal experience, when a person is pure borderline, the lack of true empathy is like a defence to prevent intimacy, in an attempt to avoid showing up the true self that they consider inadequate and was somehow “castrated” by his/her caretakers.
Excellent analysis. I agree 100%.
