Thats an interesting verse...Jeremiah tried to warn Judah about the sins that were rampant in his nation. He pleaded with his countrymen to turn back to God for fourty yerars, but the people refused to listen. Thus, because of the hardness of their hearts, God allowed Jerusalem to be ransaked and the people of Judah departed to Babylon. Jeremiah had done all that he could do, but no one listened. We must speak the truth to our friends and family... even if no one listens. (or seems to be)...
