coral you might have an air bubble in that propane tank... its an easy fix... the heat and direct sunlight causes the air to rise to the top and you get a 'cold flame' .. low flame effect...

bleeding off the air fixes it... but sometimes you can blow out a regulator from the air pressure in the bottle..

can you take the bottle to your dealer and ask for an air bleed? solved many a problem exactly like you described this way... keep the bottle out of the sun.. i tell people to treat it as they would a baby.. a lot of care....
