i've been meaning to post this story for a while (honestly, too lazy to type it up)
but here you go
hugless douglas by david melling
once apon a time their was a bear. he lived in a deep, dark cave.
well this particular morning he needed a hug so he brushed his hair, got dressed, and went to find one
" my best hugs are big." said douglas, so he walked up to the biggist thing he could find and gave it a squeeze
it didn't feel right
" oh," said douglas.
" my best hugs are tall" thought douglas so he went up to the tallest thing he could find and hugged it
but again, it didn't feel right
" my best hugs," said douglas, " are comfy"
so he went to a tree and hugged it
but the branches started to move and their came a " baaa, baaa" sound.
" give us a hug," said douglas
" no,"said the sheep. " we're too busy!".
" why can't I find a hug?" said douglas
" if I want a hug," said an owl, " I sit in my tree and.."
he never got to finish. douglas climbed in to the trree and waited
" twoo twit" said the owl crossly
douglas felt around and soon he felt something fluffy and rabbity
douglas could tell the rabbit didn't want a hug
he sniffed, and without thinking, he wiped his nose on the rabbit
" put me down," she said.
" but I want a hug" douglas said.
" ah, I see." said the rabbot. " come with me."
she took douglas to the entrance of a cave. douglas looked in to the cave, and saw someone he knew, just waking up
" hug?" douglas asked, as he ran straight in to the arms of...
his mother
" come to think of it," said douglas, " my best hugs are from people I love."
