I disallow my daughter to have any social media account except a facebook and even then I make sure it's locked down private. Instagram is banned. The site has no filter for youngsters so they can get access to the adult side, the dark side of Instagram. WhatsApp is another. I suspect momo is fake. It appals me there is so much out there on social media one has virtually no clue about. We parents often overlook these things because we are constantly busy, our lives uncomfortably frenetic.

It frightens me that youngsters can fake their ages to access social media accounts without their parents having even a clue. Thankfully my Peggy is always upfront with me. We parents have to be on the lookout, though.
