the rubber band didn't work for me ... the ice does enough to take the edge off... but my t counts them as si... he doesn't want me using pain in any form to cover my emotions.... i find taking a hot shower (not scalding) or walking barefoot on different surfaces, running on the treadmill, and journaling work well too... take gentle care...lyn
