Hubby and I had a nice day. We took a walk around a lake and spotted a bald eagle. I had seen one years earlier on a lake closer to us, but hubby had never seen one locally. I wished that the eagle had flown a bit, but he/she just sat for the whole time watching everything.

We went to the movies and saw a German film called "Never Look Away". It was an amazing story about an artist who lived through WW 2 as a child, was raised in communist East Germany, went to art school there, then managed to get to West Germany before the Berlin Wall was built. It's actually much more than that. Part of his childhood was scarred also by seeing his beloved aunt's mental illness come on. She was then taken away from her family and then marked for extermination by the Nazis. She was exterminated simply because she was mentally ill and deemed a "degenerate" or "defective" human. That was significant in the movie.
