Thank you for sharing this valuable information, MuseumGhost. I recently discussed this topic with my sister. She was feeling embarrassed about how often she's been treating herself lately. She's going through a really stressful time and I emphasized that self-compassion is so important...now and always. I also mentioned that in my experience, people who value themselves tend to be easier to get along with and often make strong contributions to the world. Though of course I am not slamming people who struggle with self-loathing...depression can trigger that within any of us.

I will share this article with my sister as evidence Much appreciated.
