I agree with what all the others have already wisely said better than I ever could. None of it is your fault. You could not predict that someone woul have broken into your car. And you can't know for sure whether or not that was relate to thhose thieves breaking into your house. Please don't give up. I understand why you'd feel guilty. But it's not your fault. You must be feeling very violated right now. You don't need to add more difficulties on top of that. Please try to be kind to yourself. You're a wonderful person, I'm sure of that. Things like this can happen. It's not your fault. You're definitely not alone in this. I'm so sorry you feel like your parents would scold you. It's definitely due to the bad experiences you've had with them in the past. It's your choice whether or not you want to tell them or not. Please don't give up. Try to hang on.
