Thank you!
I’ll stay with her until she is settled in her room. Then I need to get to her house to stay with her son (my grandson) overnight. He’s 16 but high functioning autistic and ADHD and understandably, my daughter won’t rest well unless she knows he’s taken care off.
My grandson and I are two peas in a pod, though. We get along great, he’s a good kid! He says to me, ‘Grammy, we’re in synch!”
We’ll have a good time then, most likely, go to pick up my DD the following day.
I’ll probably stay the night again and go back and forth between houses to help her with personal care and to keep an eye on her in general.
Oh, and, yes, I’m very grateful to her co-workers. I don’t know how she would do this without their donated paid time off. She loves her job..and she goes to work every day- even in bad icy weather. DD is pretty amazing. I have cardiomyopathy, too, and can’t imagine having to go to work full time and take care of a special needs teenager.
