Recently I went to a family gathering. A couple of new friends showed up. I was introduced to them and they looked at each other and said, "Oh, your names is B_____?" and chuckled. We know another "B_____" and that's it.
Later, we were playing card games over dessert, and my aunt said, "It's your turn, B_____" The new friends said, B_____....we can't get over the fact that your name is B_____" And I politely smiled and said, "Oh..." and then the game went on.
It's not my fault that my name is B______, like I had a choice over that. Some people have negative association with certain names (like it was their ex's, etc.) but is that fair?
