As a nurse, I once destroyed a patient room within 5 minutes.
First thing I did was trip over a patient's catheter. Didn't rip it out, thank goodness, but it stung a little and I felt terrible. The other patient asked for a custard, which I promptly dumped in her lap, necessitating a gown and bed change I didn't really have time for. Then I opened up the cabinet in the room which kept all our supplies, and about a hundred little med cups fell out on my head. So I'm down there picking up the damned things, forgot the cabinet door was open when I went to stand up and split my head open on the corner of it, sprawling on the floor in the process.
At this point I look up and there are both patients, peering over the room sink and asking if I'm OK. And I'M supposed to be taking care of THEM.
