Sorry I missed your post as I was sickening for an illness. But I'm glad you decided on a Samsung because it really is a beaut, and Samsungs have lovely screens. Though I love my iPhone 7+, Apple uses different connectors whereas Android uses standard-type stuff which works out considerably cheaper, so good on you!

As for your current problem, perhaps you could return to where you bought your phone and ask the specialist techie to guide you? Usually they are very helpful, especially to new customers having bought from them.

While I remember, I strongly recommend you get a VPN to protect your identity and personal stuff on your phone. VPNs enable users to have their own personal 'rabbit burrow', rendering you invisible against hackers. Especially in WiFi areas such as cafes, trains and airports. Anywhere really. One such VPN supplier is Nord, but shop around. A one year's subscription should enable you protection for laptops, ipads etc. Any reputable VPN will never log their clients' browsing. Having a VPN however will not protect you from sites that contain malware.

If you like music from your phone, you can enhance your listening pleasure enormously by using a Digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). I use a thumb sized Dragonfly DAC via an adapter, and plug my headphones in for glorious lossless high definition music. I listen to Classic FM, or BBC Radio 3 for classics. You should also be able to read ebooks on your phone with a suitable app. As ebooks' can gradually eat up file space on your phone, you can delete them while retaining the ebooks 'in the cloud'.

Enjoy your phone. It's simply incredible what they are capable of!

Thanks for this!
