I'm in Los Angeles County; they are completely swamped. I would have had to apply last year to get anything this year. Not to mention they're not going to help someone who nominally earned the equivalent of six figures a year (for two months); that's the trick of being a computer programmer - you look like you're rich on paper but you're actually broke.
