When I was a kid and got the hiccups my mom would always ask me if I had done something wrong......so I would sit and think and think and think if I had done anything wrong. I would be so into thinking about it that I would forget about the hiccups and they would naturally go away....
Of course, you could turn it around to ask...what have you done right...or what was the last song you hear...sing it through...anything at all to think about instead of the hiccups.
Another thing I've done with my kids is completely opposite of that...I would tell them to think of the next time they were going to hiccup.....LOL. Strange I know....
What it really comes down to is this.....breathe as naturally as you can....put your mind on something else and they will go away as soon as they're ready
