Here’s the problem. You wrote “No one will hire me, not because I can't do the work, but because I'm perceived to not be able to do the work. I can work just fine....” By your own admission you are able to work and therefore will not qualify for SSDI without some other qualifying conditions.

You should be looking for an attorney that works in equal employment and disability law.
