I occasionally picked them up in the 90s. They were really big then with some fetching unbelievable prices. I worked at a department store that sold them. When the important ones were shipped to the store, awful I know, we staff would keep them for ourselves. I know I had some pretty good ones. Not really my thing though so I gave them all away.

Hmmm, I am trying to think of what I collect now instead. A look around my house and the answer is that I have a lot of pretty benign things: stones, feathers, and shells mostly. Which is good - they're far cheaper.
