My first career job was on the 22nd floor of a high rise in Westwood Calif. Elevator, stairs....or at least a few flights to get exercise & get in shape for our daily lunch racquetball games.

Only place I find those moving floors is in airports & usually the one going in my direction is the one NOT working.

Shoot I even did escalators when I was on crutches for 3 months after I had knee reconstruction (NOT replacement). Lol....the hospital wouldn't let me go home until I could do several flights of stairs on my crutches.

I go for whatever means I need to get to where I want to go
