A while back (around 6 months ago), I was raped by two men while I was passed out from alcohol poisoning and later had to be tested for a lot of things, including HIV, Hepitis, etc, etc... Everything came back fine but two things. God, this is so embarassing. I came back positive for genital herpes and HPV (genital warts). I take my Valtrex, so my herpes outbreaks are few and far between. But my HPV is getting worse, way worse.

I called my OBGYN and he said that sometimes HPV cases are so bad, the warts multiply rapid and it's best to have them removed before you have to have a large section of your vagina removed. He gave me the options, and one was a cream I could try on my own for 6 weeks, 3 days a week. It's pretty much acid and it's supposed to burn the warts off. I applied the cream for only one week because the pain was too much for me to handle. So now I have to go in and have my OBGYN remove them by either A.) Laser or B.) Cutting them off. Here's the problem...

I'm a recovering addict and my sponser finds it's best that I not take any sort of pain medication because I could become addicted easily. I don't take Tylonal or anything like that because my drug tolerance is so high, those have no effect on pain for me whatsoever. So I was wondering: When I go in for surgery, I'm going to be in A LOT of pain afterwards. Do any of you know of any medication or 'home remedy' that could help with the post-surgery pain that isn't classified as addictive? I'm really scared and dont want to experiance all of this pain when I never asked for this disease. *sigh*
