silver, maybe also they would act differently if there were a face to go with it. it is all well (people sometimes think) to mock something when they really have no association with it. but if their experience of you directly corrlates to the image of si they may have a different perspective.

Not to say that you ought to run right out and tell them - that has to be your choice and it may or may not be safe to do so. but just to know and hold in your mind that people do react strongly to things they don't understand, and may react different if it were brought closer to home for them.
People change... and will be changing a lot between your current age and the next 10 years.
