Hi all, I took Lexapro about 3 years ago for anxiety/panic and moderate depression. It worked wonders for me, so great that I felt good enough to quit taking it. Well, that turned out to be a mistake. I quit taking it in Sept. 07. In Feb, I started getting severe anxiety and panic attacks along with depression. I started back up with my 20mg dose of lexapro that I used to take, along with .25 mg 2 x day of xanax. I took the xanax at .25 for 10 days then dropped it to .125 2 x a day and then quit completely last Wed. I've been doing alright and I was proud of myself for stopping the xanax as the idea of benzos scare the crap out of me. However, yesterday I was pretty anxious and today I started to get a bit of a panic attack so I took a .125 of xanax and that seemed to help. Its been 4 weeks since I've started the lexapro and i was hoping I'd be back to normal by now. It seemed like last time I took it, it worked much faster. Has anyone experienced this? I'm starting to get worried about it not working like it did before and having to switch. Any feedback would be great!
