**Warning** occasionally there are curse words used. Not crass body part words or toilet talk words but stuff like the F word or B.S., so I wanted to make you all aware in case that is something offensive to you. If anyone has issues with the link I can copy and paste it here but the filters will ***out the bad words and in some cases the context can be lost.**

Gwyneth Paltrow wants to take your money. The press is helping her | Dr. Jen Gunter

I do not know about anyone else but Gwyneth Paltrow's website and apparent GOOP empire drives me nuts. She purports to be for the everyday woman and then recommends stuff like "vaginal steaming" and supplements that cost hundreds of dollars a month. I think its misleading in the way she presents information using technical sounding words that actually make no sense, are dangerous or impossible. In fact pseudoscience stuff drives me mad as well.

I had always wondered why no one ever challenged her ridiculous claims especially in legit interviews. No one ever says anything about her elite privilege and how she sells crap that has no medical oversight and marks it up hundreds of dollars. No one seems to want to ask her about her claims, the safety or efficacy, and how an average woman with an average income could afford her products. She has a very successful little empire going and it just annoys me. But- I really do not dwell or think about it unless I read something.

Then I stumbled upon this website by this doctor that seems so well equipped to breakdown and handle the G.P. bull-s**t. Even though its part of a blog I was really impressed with how well it was written and how enjoyable it was to read (if you like this stuff it will be) and I liked it even more that this doctor has made a point to promote women's wellness and do a little debunking as well.

I'd love to have a discussion about this if others are interested. All comments on the article are of course welcome, but also general comments on women's health topics and even the way your own health experiences have gone. I know as women we are often looked at hypochondriacs or hysterical, unbelievable women who do not know jack about our bodies and I think the medical field needs to get with the program when it comes to treating women. Having a mental illness and/or trauma makes it doubly worse for women. I hope you all enjoy...
