Then a break might be a good idea,even if it's a short one.Forums are and can be helpful but you also gotta be careful.
They're not helpful if you choose to believe every reply you get and change your entire outlook or course of action because of something you have read.Everyone has their own opinions about things,that's only natural since we are all different.But in the end you have to decided what's best for
you and do what you think would benefit you the most.None of us should compare ourselves with others and judge our illness based on what other people say their experiences are.
I think you should just stick with what you personally experience and go by what your treatment providers tell you.If she thinks thinks you're on the forums too much maybe you should listen to her,she's only trying to help you.
It's kind of like going to 12 step meetings.I had so many people saying so many different things and I had to learn to do what was always suggested "take what you like and leave the rest".Listening to a sponsor is always best in that scenario.Same here really,you will have so many people saying so many different things and you need to take what you like and leave the rest but ultimately,listen to the treatment providers."it works if you work it" is what they say in 12 steps,maybe you need to start working it,putting your all into your recovery too.
