Usually not forever. Typically I'll be upset for a bit but I can, after a reasonable amount of time passes and I cool down, let go.

I think it's quite possible I do this based on my context for the person and my own personal triggers. I'm trying very hard to not read into things.

I think being sensitive can have a lot of benefits. It can make you very compassionate. It can also make you very reactionary. I think like any personality trait, it has pros and cons. I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of.

Absolutely. If I'm agitated or feeling paranoid due to MH triggers, I will be much more likely to suspect bad intent. Whereas when I'm in a more normal frame of mind, even outright jabs that are obvious don't bother me.
