Hi xmascarol. I am sorry for the loss of your parents and the difficult challenging time you had with them.

It is not easy losing parents. It seems like when my dad died I had to reinvent who I was. All the dreams of changing him or him becoming the dream parent I hoped for in the back of my mind went crashing down. I had to start new things in my life, almost like starting over.

I like to laugh and focus on the fun memories. That is what keeps me from taking everything too seriously. It helps me not get trapped in the past.

I am really impressed how you are able to look past the ugly memories and see the better half. Way to go!
