I think sometimes of doing the same, but can't risk things going sideways in my current situation. And there's no one to keep an eye on me (aside from pdoc and T, but the times in between are plenty long enough to get in trouble). I can have decent length remissions (looking back over time, granted, before I got dx'd, so a certain amount of guesswork), so alas, there's no way to know whether it's the meds keeping me balanced, or a remission. If I had more support and security, I'd likely try it too.
I know we've always said around here that before trying going off, be sure to have a lot of coping skills in place. If anyone is armed with solid coping skills, it is you.  Good luck!

Yes !! I am not sure I would do this if my husband wouldn’t be keeping an eye on me. I’m lucky I have him.
My daughter who also has Bipolar isn’t very happy about my going this route.... but understands my motives.
Tomorrow I fill my weekly Med boxes so I will start the Lamictal decrease.
My tool box is indeed over flowing.
