After I had explained to the pdoc about a biblical type event that I was subject to (which resulted in the then present 'meltdown' of my mental state), and was leaving his office after my first visit, I turned and asked him if he believed it happened? He replied..."I am not interested in what it is you say, I am only interested in why you are saying it!"

That I should take medication (Lithium)...I disagreed.

That while I accepted his diagnosis of my being bipolar, I did not tell him I still fully believed my experience was of divine significance and the trials and tribulations I was suffering had a divine purpose beyond any secular medical understanding.
