I can now put this behind me. You all have really helped to clarify it for me. I needed this type of explanation. Now it makes perfect sense to me.

And just to be clear: this was simply a reminded to me about how toxic he truly is. I had nearly put it all behind me in the face of maintaining a friendly-ish facade, but it was the perfect reminder to me of how he operates.
