Hi, I went to a day program several times. Yes, insurance covers them, but part like any medical expense. Call for authorization.

I usually went after getting out of the hospital, so it was a way of easing me back into the "real-world." I personally liked them. I learned alot of coping skills and took part in groups. I met some nice people. I actually found it helpful because I felt like it and I had a purpose.

You usually go in the early morning, have lunch and leave around 3-4 PM.

I have been kicked out of them for *cutting, * but that is USUALLY not the case. THat place was just real strict and they wanted me to be in the hospital.

Usually you are in the program anywhere from 1-4 weeks. Just depends on how you are feeling.
