This is definitely off-topic. It could be moved to another forum. Anyway, I can say that I was turned off by him a lot, initially. Now I don't mind him as much, but that doesn't mean I watch his show. I watch very little TV, but I do like such comedy shows, but am selective.
My husband and I used to watch Jon Steward, though I've always been more of a Stephen Colbert fan, and followed him from The Colbert Report to his current late show. About a week ago, he had Trevor Noah guest interview him. I thought Trevor did a better job even than when Jon Steward guest interviewed him. I can understand why Jon Steward wasn't offered the spot that Letterman left. Not a good fit for him. I think that someday in the future, Trevor Noah may possibly find a place in the major late or late late night arena. I adore John Oliver, but he's best doing what he's doing on HBO. I see him rarely, because we don't have HBO.
I can't stand Conan O'Brien. Really, can't stand him. And yet he has a very loyal following. My husband doesn't like him either, but he tortures me occasionally and keeps it on through that annoying bit with his nipples. Yuck! And his side-kick is annoying! We used to watch Samantha Bee, and I was happy to see another female comedy show host, but she's grown so angry and scary. I don't like or need angry, mean, and scary!
Sometimes we watch little bits of Jimmy Kimmel's and Seth Meyers' shows. They have their talents. Jimmy Fallon is a pleasant guy, but not my type of comedian. Ditto for James Corden. Again, Colbert is my favorite, and I even like Jon Batiste, his band leader, and his band, better than the others.
