He thus has expenses for himself, the kid and with lawyers for cases he doesn't want to talk about. Sometimes, he doesn't have a cent left even before he gets his next pay. He calls my elderly parents and begs them for money. My parents are retired and are living off their old aged pensions. He acts such that my parents get scared that he will do the inevitable. Also, I forgot to mention that he gives the kid whatever she asks for (I disapprove of that) but he thinks that it means that he is a good daddy. How do we politely refuse him money without hurting his feelings? And any other advices please? Thank you .

What he can do is budget and cut back on giving her what she wants. Your parents should set a boundary and explain that they already paid to raise their kids, and they can't do that until they die.
Is he willing to look at other options such as a second job or a new job?
