I did level out though after a few weeks. The dosage increase wasn't as bad as when I started it. Other than that, I really haven't had any side effects and it's been weight neutral.

It's good to hear that the initial side effects decrease with time.
Now that I am reading that Latuda has not been approved for mixed episodes (or mania), it concerns me a little bit about whether this would work. My pdoc said that she's really concerned about my manic symptoms (mixed) and said I presented that way when I saw her a few days ago.
I hope this medication does not exacerbate my manic symptoms. I think she is trying to avoid putting me on something requiring blood work at the moment, so she figures Latuda is worth a try.
I took my first dose yesterday, and at night I was unable to sleep, had an outburst, anger, racing thoughts. Eventually I slept a few hours, but it took a long time to go to sleep, even with Seroquel and Klonopin. But maybe it's not the medication causing this so far, but more so the fact that I am experiencing an episode. At least I am tolerating the Latuda physically.
