It's not officially a mood stabilizer but it's FDA approved for schizophrenia (and thus manic episodes) and depression, so it should even out your moods. I've been taking it something like 6 years. I take Wellbutrin for depression though and it works better than Latuda for that. I also take Lamictal because my doctors have liked what they consider to be a boost with stabilization. When I started Latuda it gave me horrible akathisia, but I take propranolol for that and it works wonderfully. I take 50mg of Seroquel for sleep with Lunesta (Yes, I take a lot of drugs.). Neither my doctor nor my insurance are concerned about the two antipsychotics since the Seroquel dose is so low. Latuda has never made me sleepy--I wish it did-- or activated me either--also wish it did.
