Hi Crypts,

The worst pain is in my legs, but also goes through my back. It appears to be chronic tendonitis, but the cause of that is unclear. My ortho says its neurological, the neurologists are a bit stumped--they thought it was movement but changed their mind and sent me to rheumy. He's ruled out arthritis and sent me back to neuro. I have a cousin with the same symptoms, so I'm guessing there's a genetic cause.

Some days I'm able to walk, but with pain, other days I can't walk at all. Physical therapy helps but seems to have a limited benefit. I should do more though.

The doctor who suggested going off painkillers had thought that they were causing hypergesic pain. I withdrew about 12 months ago and that clearly wasn't the case. My PM doc wasn't completely on board with stopping the meds. I went back on quick release and meant to ask him about trying extended release again. Instead I got myself sent to the ER. I'm not sure he'll prescribe until I've had some psych counseling now.
