The comment about photos being how other people see you is what I am always afraid of. Thats not how I want to look.

I think what Jester's Rags wrote about a photo being just a snapshot in time, is significant. We're not one dimensional. There are many things that go into how we're perceived. Many emotions and senses and other things.
Do other people dislike how they sound in recordings? Again, we hear ourselves a bit differently than others do.
