I have a major shopping problem too. In the past, I shopped myself into 44K in credit card debt, and had to declare bankruptcy.
Now I'm on disability and so have almost no money for anything beyond the basics, and I still manage to find money to shop.
I treat it like my alcohol addiction. I just take it one day at a time.
