sounds like you may both need support from each other. my best friend died a month before 911 and it is amazing to see how few people know what to do with death and grieving. the person who helped me most was the one who just hung out with me. she listened when ever i wanted to talk and didn't say any nicities or pleasantries. we just went about day to day and she was like my shadow.
