Moose72, I'm sorry you have side effects that bother you a lot about Seroquel. Like Wander, my side effects from Seroquel are quite minimal. In fact, I have been happier with Seroquel XR than I have been with any other bipolar medication I have ever taken. For me, it's a great med.

I'm currently on 600 mg of Seroquel XR. I wish I was on less, but if I was, I'd likely be hospitalized. When my mood stabilizes for a while, my dose will be decreased. At lower doses, it can be weight neutral for me. I am fortunate that, unlike some people, my weight gain has not been that large from Seroquel XR. If I could just lose 10 lbs, I'd be the same weight I was at my highest before ever having taken a bipolar medication. That was still a bit overweight, though. That was about 17 years ago. Who knows, I might have been my current weight by now even if I was never on bipolar meds.

I have luckily never had dry mouth/eyes from Seroquel, to my knowledge. Perhaps that side effect will eventually ease for you. All the best!
