Has anyone tried this for CPTSD or related?

I am currently in therapy which is just talking but I went to a hypnotherapy session for a specific issue around test nerves. I found the session really grounding and positive and I was able to make intriguing connections without feeling threatened. I just enjoyed the mindfulness and meditation of it and left feeling positive and more connected.

I am wondering if people have done this in their general therapy to then talk to their inner child and help talk to parts. I think this would be really useful. I need to talk to my usual therapist about this as well but in some ways I feel like I cheated on them. In this one hypnotherapy session I felt more contained and safe then I have done with my usual T..
