I was on the nuvaring for several years. I eventually stopped having a period within the first year. Naturally I was concerned and went to the doctor. They did a bunch of tests and scans and everything came back normal. I haven't had a period since, well until a new doctor put me on a different birth control. I got so used to not having one that when I actually had one I was like "nope, not for me" and stopped taking the bc. The doctor that prescribed didn't seem too concerned that I didn't have one, just the nurse.
